On November 28, the João Paulo II Educational Centre celebrated another special moment by marking the end of the school year and the beginning of the Christmas season during the traditional Family Celebration. The event was marked by memories of the stories lived throughout the year, by the bonds built in everyday life, and by recognition of the path taken by each child and adolescent in their learning process.
The Family Celebration is one of the most meaningful gatherings on the annual calendar, as it represents the union among the professionals of the João Paulo II Educational Centre, the children and adolescents and their families, in a journey of dialogue, exchange, and the construction of new perspectives. By honouring the families of the community, the importance of these essential bonds for the integral development of children and adolescents and for the building of their future is reaffirmed.
This gathering also marks the conclusion of a year of learning, overcoming challenges, and hope, and at the same time represents the way the João Paulo II Educational Centre chooses to live and celebrate Christmas: with simplicity, beauty, and meaning. A Christmas born from care, welcome, and unity.
During the celebration, the students were protagonists of brilliant performances that moved the audience. Gathered in choirs, they sang Christmas carols, participated in group dances, and delighted families with artistic expressions that reflect the work developed throughout the year. One of the most touching moments of the evening was the reading of a poem written by a student, Ângelo, in honour of all parents.
The celebration was also marked by the presentation of certificates from the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad (OBR) to the participating students, recognizing their effort, dedication, and leadership throughout the process. In the final moments, the parents received the activities developed by the children during the year, sharing smiles, photo memories, and words of gratitude with the educators and professionals of the Centre. A closing filled with joy, affection, and mutual recognition.
