Students from first to eighth grade at Centro Educativo João Paulo II had an enriching and fun experience during a visit to the Aratu Naval Base of the Brazilian Navy – Inema, located on the São Tomé de Paripe Peninsula in Salvador.
The base plays a key role in the security and maintenance of Brazilian Navy vessels.
During the visit, the students participated in informative lessons covering the strategic importance of the Navy for protecting the coastlines and naval operations in Brazil, as well as exploring the various careers and professions within the armed forces.
A highlight of the visit was the tour of the base’s shipyard, a vital area for the maintenance of large vessels, where students had the chance to see firsthand how ships are preserved and repaired.
They also had the unique opportunity to visit the Gravataí, a prominent ship in the Brazilian military.
After the cultural activities, the students enjoyed a relaxing day at the beautiful Inema beach within the base, with games and competitions organized by the teachers.
The group spent an unforgettable day filled with recreational activities, swimming and plenty of friendship.
The visit to the Aratu Naval Base not only provided moments of fun but also allowed the students to broaden their knowledge of the Navy’s role and naval operations, making this experience truly unique.
