The 9th edition of the Festival Esportivo do Subúrbio Ferroviário came to an end on the last weekend of October. The event, which began in August, concluded with the Futsal competition. The competition, which featured 44 teams, was marked by exciting moments, challenges, overcoming obstacles, and, above all, the young people’s love for the sport.
During the Futsal Festival, there were presentations by the Karate group and, on the last day, a Capoeira presentation. In addition, the public could visit the robotics stand, which attracted the attention of players and their families with its interactive technologies.
Over the months, students from the João Paulo II Educational Centre, students from the public and private school systems, sports groups, leagues, and NGOs, came together to experience this great moment in sports among young athletes. The sports celebrated in the traditional Sports Festival were Basketball, Handball and Futsal, which kept the courts buzzing with intense games and lots of energy.
The last championship brought the 9th edition of the Festival Esportivo do Subúrbio Ferroviário to a close in grand style, providing participants with an essential learning experience on the courts, lessons they will carry with them for all life. This moment reinforces, once again, that sport adds fundamental values to the human and social development of children and adolescents.
