On June 18th, at the Centro Educativo João Paulo II we celebrated the traditional São João festival. The event brought together students, teachers, and staff members for a joyful moment shared with the community.
The celebration was divided into class groups, allowing each group to participate in dance performances and games. The activities related to everyday school life promoting not only fun but also an appreciation for cultural roots and collective work.
In addition, the festival symbolically marked the end of the academic semester, celebrating the achievements and learnings realized over the past few months. With music, traditional foods, colorful banners, and lots of excitement, the decorations and festive atmosphere captivated everyone.
The space of the festival was prepared to ensure the active participation of the children, who eagerly and curiously moved among its different areas. The children and adolescents also prepared performances, like traditional dancing (quadrilha) e the representation of the “casamento da roça” (the “country wedding”). During the performances, the students took center stage, strengthening their sense of belonging through every detail of the celebration.
Events like this reinforce the commitment to a complete education—one that goes beyond formal content and promotes meaningful experiences connected to culture, community, and the human development of children and adolescents. It was a day of celebration, learning, and connection—just the way Centro Educativo João Paulo II believes in and cultivates.
